I’ve danced and exercised nearly all of my life. After 14 years of classical ballet training, I began a 20-year career as an aerobic exercise instructor & personal fitness trainer when I was hired by Jane Fonda to teach at Jane Fonda’s Workout in San Francisco. In addition to teaching at numerous health clubs and fitness centers all over the SF Bay Area, I was Fitness Director for the SF Marina Health Club and Princess Cruise Lines. I retired from teaching, worked for United Airlines for twelve years as a SF International & Domestic gate agent and finally quit working altogether to be a full time Mom to my two sons, Max & Jake.
In 2007, a friend asked me to carpool with her to the nearest Bikram Yoga studio in San Jose (BYSJ), which is a good 35-minute drive from Morgan Hill. I had a neck and back injury from a car accident and my body felt broken and abused from all the years of dancing and high-impact aeorbics. I thought the heated yoga might help. At first, I didn’t like the yoga, but I continued taking classes because it made my neck & back feel better. Gradually, it started to click... I was feeling better and sleeping better... I was hooked! I decided to become an instructor and in December 2009, I graduated from the Bikram Yoga College of India Teacher Training in Las Vegas. I started my teaching career at BYSJ, where I worked for almost 2 years. I LOVE teaching Bikram Yoga! I decided to open up Bikram Yoga Morgan Hill, October 1, 2011, so I could spread the word and share the amazing benefits of this unique, life-changing yoga to the people in my community. I believe Bikram’s ingenious, healing, hot yoga sequence of “26 & 2” will change your body, change your mind and change your life!
